Islamabad, 28 October, 2026 (Ghufran): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday met a delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), led by Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, with both sides agreeing to establish a joint committee to formulate recommendations on petroleum relief measures and a phased reduction in the petroleum levy.  Islamabad, 28 October, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Major General (Navy) Saif Abdulhadi Alhamlan, Commander of the Kuwait Naval Force, called on Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. Upon his arrival, the visiting dignitary was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy. During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional maritime security environment, and opportunities to further strengthen bilateral naval cooperation.
