Islamabad, May 12, 2026(Kamran Raja): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday chaired an important meeting on the country’s food security and the current status of fertilizer reserves, directing authorities to ensure the timely and uninterrupted supply of fertilizer to farmers under all circumstances. The Prime Minister emphasized that in view of potential disruptions in fertilizer supply chains from Gulf countries, contingency planning should be prepared for alternative procurement from Central Asian states.
