QUETTA, 18 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Seven terrorists were killed in two separate security operations in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, according to security sources. Security forces conducted an operation in the Fateh Ali area of Panjgur, where five terrorists were killed and a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered. In a separate intelligence-based operation in the Dhadhar area of Kachhi district, security forces eliminated two more terrorists, while several others were reportedly injured. Security forces continue intelligence-based operations across Balochistan to counter militant activities, eliminate terrorism and maintain law and order in the province.

Kohat, 18 September 2026 (Kamran Raja): At least 15 people were killed and more than 50 injured in an explosion near a mosque in the Police Lines area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat district on Friday, officials said. District Headquarters Hospital Medical Superintendent Tahir Ali Shah said 15 bodies and more than 50 injured people were brought to the hospital following the blast. Police said the explosion occurred during Friday prayers, causing a crater outside the mosque and injuring several police personnel.  KYIV, 17 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Russian air strikes injured 18 people and damaged buildings in Kyiv, Odesa and other parts of Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday, local officials said. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 12 people, including two children, were wounded in the capital, while apartment and residential buildings, warehouses and an area near a petrol station were damaged by debris. In the Black Sea port city of Odesa, three people, including a child, were injured after a Russian strike hit a 19-storey apartment building. In southeastern Zaporizhzhia, three more people were wounded, while a missile strike also sparked a fire at an industrial facility, authorities said.

JEDDAH, 17 September, 2026 (Nosheen): Passengers of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight arriving in Jeddah from Karachi were evacuated after ground staff reported a suspected fire in one of the aircraft’s engines while the plane was parked at the Jeddah airport stand. According to sources, the pilot initiated the emergency evacuation procedure and passengers were safely evacuated through emergency exits using evacuation slides, while some passengers were taken to the Jeddah airport clinic for medical examination. Fire department officials also reached the aircraft with fire brigade personnel, while PIA Jeddah authorities immediately informed airport officials and the security department.
