China Prepares for More Heavy Rain as Back-to-Back Storms Approach
BEIJING, 26 August 2026 (Nosheen) : China’s coastal and southern regions are preparing for several days of heavy rainfall as Typhoon Narra moves inland and another storm approaches the country’s eastern coast. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated as authorities take precautionary measures. Narra made landfall as a tropical storm on Tuesday evening in the southern island province of Hainan after remaining over the Beibu Gulf, also known as the Gulf of Tonkin, for several days. The storm brought heavy rain to parts of Guangxi, Hainan and Guangdong provinces.
