Fresh Yemen Clashes Kill More Than 60, Military and Medical Sources Say

SANAA, 5 September, 2026(Kamran Raja): Fresh fighting between Yemen’s Saudi-backed government forces and Houthi rebels has killed more than 60 people, including civilians, according to Yemeni military and medical sources. Three Yemeni military sources said that 26 government troops were killed during several hours of clashes in southwestern Yemen. Houthi medical and military sources reported that 31 rebel fighters were also killed. A medical source in the government-held city of Taiz said a missile strike killed six civilians travelling on a bus and wounded seven others. Earthquake Jolts Khuzdar and Surrounding Areas

KHUZDAR, 05 September, 2026 (Nosheen): Earthquake tremors were felt in Khuzdar and surrounding areas of Balochistan on Friday, causing panic among residents. According to the Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake measured 3.2 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres. The seismic centre said the epicentre was located approximately 75 kilometres northwest of Khuzdar. Following the tremors, residents reportedly came out of their homes and shops and gathered in open areas as a precautionary measure. No casualties or property damage were reported immediately following the earthquake. Authorities are monitoring the situation and have advised citizens to remain calm and take necessary precautionary measures in case of any emergency.

ICT Police Conduct Grand Search Operations Across Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, 05 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Saturday conducted large-scale combing and search operations in different areas of the federal capital as part of ongoing security measures. During the operations, police checked 277 people, 83 houses, 58 shops and 21 hotels, while 16 suspicious persons were shifted to police stations for further verification.
