Pakistan Squads Announced for Sri Lanka T20Is and ODI Tri-Series

Lahore, 6 October, 2026 (Ghufran): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the national squads for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka and the seven-match ODI tri-series featuring Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka. Sahibzada Farhan will captain Pakistan in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, while Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the national side in the ODI tri-series. The T20I matches will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 9, 11 and 13, with Khawaja Nafay included as wicketkeeper in the 15-member squad. The ODI tri-series will feature seven matches, with the first three games scheduled in Rawalpindi and the remaining league matches and final to be played in Lahore. Shaheen Shah Afridi will captain the 16-member ODI squad, which includes Abrar Ahmed, Salman Ali Agha, Arafat Minhas, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Ghazi Ghori, Haris Rauf, Hasan Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Razaullah, Saad Baig, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Moqim. The team management will be headed by Mike Hesson as head coach, supported by Shaun Tait as bowling coach, Michael Smith as batting coach and Mansoor Amjad as fielding coach, while Naveed Akram Cheema has been appointed team manager. The squad announcement confirms Sahibzada Farhan’s continued leadership in the shortest format after he captained Pakistan at the recently concluded Asian Games.
