Islamabad, 14 September, 2026 (Ghufran): In view of expected political and public activities in Islamabad, the federal government has decided to strengthen security arrangements in the capital and sought 23,500 police personnel from Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. The Cabinet Secretary has written letters to the provincial governments, while the Cabinet Division has also issued a notification regarding the availability and deployment of the required police force. According to the notification, 15,000 police personnel will be provided by Punjab, 8,000 by Sindh and 500 by Balochistan.  Quetta, 14 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Security forces have killed nine terrorists in two separate operations in Balochistan’s Mastung and Pishin districts, while four Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel were injured in an exchange of fire. In Mastung, security forces conducted an operation against militants affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan, killing three terrorists, including a commander identified as Naqeeb. Multan, 14 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Multan has taken major action against illegal migration, arresting seven passengers who had allegedly travelled abroad after illegally crossing international borders. The arrested passengers were identified as Haider Abbas, Iqtidar Hussain, Hassan Ali, Ali Bakhsh, Sanaullah, Muhammad Idrees and Irfan Ahmed, who were deported from Malaysia, Iraq and other countries over illegal stay and unauthorised border crossings. KOHAT, 13 September 2026 (Kamran Raja): Unidentified armed men opened fire on the convoy of the Deputy Commissioner in the Rehmanabad area of Kohat district, following an operation against illegal gold mining in the area. Several vehicles in the convoy were damaged in the firing; however, no casualties were reported. The incident occurred after authorities conducted an operation against illegal mining activities in Rehmanabad.
