Dera Ismail Khan, 26 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): At least 12 people were killed and 35 others injured on Saturday when an explosives-laden vehicle was rammed into the Aman Mela police checkpost in Darazinda tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan, officials said. DI Khan Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Maken confirmed the casualties based on an initial assessment, saying no law enforcement or security personnel were among the deceased, which included a Customs official and civilians. The deceased comprised nine men, two women and a minor.  Islamabad, 26 September, 2026 (Ghufran): The Pakistan Navy has seized more than 2,800 kilograms of narcotics worth approximately $750 million during an anti-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation was conducted by Pakistan Navy vessels PNS Hunain and PNS Yarmook as part of ongoing maritime security operations. Navy personnel intercepted and searched a suspicious fishing boat, leading to the recovery of a large quantity of narcotics with an estimated international market value of around $750 million. Islamabad, 25 September, 2026 (Ghufran): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and possible flash floods in upper parts of the country from September 25 to September 30. According to the NDMA, the intensity of a westerly weather system is expected to increase on September 25 and 26, bringing rain and thunderstorms to upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad.
