Islamabad, 25 September, 2026 (Ghufran): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and possible flash floods in upper parts of the country from September 25 to September 30. According to the NDMA, the intensity of a westerly weather system is expected to increase on September 25 and 26, bringing rain and thunderstorms to upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad. According to Home Department Adviser Babar Yousafzai, the restrictions will remain in force from September 23, 2026.
