New York, 25 September, 2026 (Ghufran): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs, Chet Greene, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in education, diplomatic training and other areas of mutual interest. According to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, both ministers held cordial discussions and expressed a shared desire to further enhance bilateral ties. They also discussed cooperation at multilateral forums, particularly the Commonwealth and the United Nations, and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. The two sides agreed to meet again at the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, scheduled to be held in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, in November 2026.
