RAWALPINDI, 11 September, 2026 (Ghufran): Security forces killed four terrorists, including Afghan militant Obaidullah Saad, during an intelligence-based operation in Kurram district. According to sources, the operation was conducted on September 8, 2026. Obaidullah Saad, son of Ghulam Ghaus Salehi, was a resident of Shahi Qila village in Afghanistan’s Logar province. He was affiliated with the banned Fitna al-Khawarij group and was involved in multiple terrorist activities in Pakistan. KARACHI, 10 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Pakistan received a fresh liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment from Qatar on Thursday, with the cargo reaching Port Qasim after safely navigating the strategically important Strait of Hormuz amid heightened regional tensions. The LNG carrier Al Marrouna, carrying approximately 81,936 metric tonnes of LNG from Qatar’s Ras Laffan terminal, crossed the Strait of Hormuz on September 7 under Pakistan’s government-to-government arrangement with Qatar. The shipment is expected to provide temporary relief to Pakistan’s power sector, which has been experiencing six to 12 hours of load shedding in parts of the country.
