Major Counterterrorism Operations in KP: 23 Militants Killed, Terror Infrastructure Destroyed

22 May 2026(Kamran Raja):Pakistan Army has intensified its counterterrorism operations across several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the killing of 23 militants linked to Fitna-al-Khwarij during the past 48 hours. The intelligence-based operations were conducted in the areas of Datta Khel, Spinwam, and Bannu, where troops engaged multiple militant hideouts after receiving credible intelligence reports. Among those killed was Jan Meer alias Toor Saqib, described by officials as a key militant commander wanted in several attacks against security forces and civilians.
