World Oceans Day (WOD) is celebrated on 8th of June each year; however, this year the Day was observed on 7th June 2024. The aim WOD is to raise awareness among populace to protect the oceans and their resources as they provide more than 50% of the oxygen produced on this planet and absorb about 30% of carbon dioxide produced by humans, moderating the impact of global warming. The Day provides us an opportunity to focus on the challenges our oceans face in maintaining an ecological balance in the environment.The theme selected by UNESCO for WOD 2024 is, 'Awaken New Depths'. The football team of Saudi Arabia has reached PakistanSaudi Arabian football team reached Islamabad from Riyadh by charter flight on Wednesday (Today).The team was welcomed by Nawaf Bin-Said Al-Malki, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia. Secretary IPC Zahoor Ahmed, DGPSB Shahid Islam, Chairman Prime Minister Youth Program Rana Mashhood, Dr. Naif Alotaibi from Saudi Press Attache and PFF officials were also present.This is the first time Saudi Arabian football team is visiting Pakistan. The Saudi Arabian football team was travelled from the airport to the hotel under tight security.  The home match between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is scheduled on June 6 (Tomorrow).The match will be played at Jinnah Football Stadium Islamabad.Editor: Kamran Raja
