Islamabad, 27 July 2026(Kamran Raja): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership during a meeting with H.E. Mr. Jiang Zaidong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, at the Prime Minister House.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Syed Tauqir Shah, and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch.
The Prime Minister conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. Recalling his visit to China in May this year, he emphasized that Pakistan and China would continue to work closely to implement the important decisions and agreements reached by the leadership of both countries, with the shared objective of advancing the prosperity and well-being of their peoples.
Reaffirming the enduring strength of the bilateral relationship, the Prime Minister underscored Pakistan’s firm commitment to further deepening cooperation across all areas of mutual interest under the framework of the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
The two sides also exchanged views on the regional situation, including the latest developments in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and South Asia, and reaffirmed the importance of close coordination in promoting regional peace, stability, and development.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong thanked the Prime Minister for receiving him and reiterated that China considers Pakistan an “iron brother.” He reaffirmed China’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and expressed China’s continued commitment to supporting Pakistan’s socio-economic development and strengthening the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
