Islamabad, 8 November, 2026 (Nosheen): A police constable and his five-year-old son were shot dead by unidentified armed assailants in the Khadrianwala neighbourhood of Tank on Sunday. According to police, Constable Saadat was on his way to the market with his son to purchase groceries when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them. The constable died at the scene, while his critically injured son was immediately shifted to Dera Ismail Khan for medical treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The bodies of the father and son were subsequently transferred to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. Following the tragic incident, police launched a search operation in the area to identify and arrest the attackers.
