Islamabad,  08 August , 2026 (Kamran Raja): A Pakistan Army captain embraced martyrdom while seven India-backed terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).The operation was launched on August 7 following intelligence reports about the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in the area. Peshawar, August 8, 2026 (Ghufran): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has unanimously approved amendments to the Members' Privileges and Facilities Act, 2026, abolishing the controversial provision that granted lawmakers lifetime official (blue) passports. The amendments were passed during a session chaired by Deputy Speaker Suraya Bibi. Under the revised legislation, official blue passports will now remain valid only for the duration of a member’s tenure in the provincial assembly. The Assembly also restored the entitlement of each lawmaker to four free arms licences under the amended law. Islamabad, 07 August , 2026 (Nosheen): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recovered a total of Rs16,093 billion from 1991 to June 2026, officials informed the Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice during a meeting held on Friday. The committee, chaired by Senator Farooq H.
