
Islamabad, 7 October, 2026 (Ghufran): Foreign Minister of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad today for a two-day official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani will co-chair the 3rd Session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission. According to the Foreign Office, the two sides will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and discuss measures to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, economic cooperation, defence and security, labour and manpower, and cultural exchanges. The two foreign ministers will also exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest and cooperation at multilateral forums. Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy close and brotherly relations based on shared faith, common values, mutual respect and longstanding people-to-people ties. The two countries maintain regular high-level exchanges and close cooperation across a wide range of areas. The visit reflects the positive momentum in Pakistan-Bahrain relations and the shared commitment of both countries to further deepen bilateral cooperation and promote mutually beneficial ties.
