
KYIV, 17 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Russian air strikes injured 18 people and damaged buildings in Kyiv, Odesa and other parts of Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday, local officials said. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 12 people, including two children, were wounded in the capital, while apartment and residential buildings, warehouses and an area near a petrol station were damaged by debris. In the Black Sea port city of Odesa, three people, including a child, were injured after a Russian strike hit a 19-storey apartment building. In southeastern Zaporizhzhia, three more people were wounded, while a missile strike also sparked a fire at an industrial facility, authorities said.
