Rawalpindi, 24 April 2026(Kamran Raja): On 21 April 2026, a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies in Khyber District on the reported presence of khwarij elements.
During the conduct of the operation, following an intense exchange of fire and skillful engagement by own troops, twenty-two khwarij affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij were neutralized. In a reprehensible act driven by fear of capture, the terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing, resulting in the martyrdom of a ten-year-old innocent child.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, who were actively involved in numerous acts of terrorism in the area.
A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining elements in the vicinity. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan remain resolute in continuing the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
The commitment to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country remains unwavering. The sacrifice of innocent civilians further strengthens the resolve of the nation and its security apparatus to bring perpetrators of terrorism to justice.
