Rawalpindi, 15 June 2026(Nosheen): A Pakistan Air Force trainer aircraft on a routine training sortie crashed near Mardan today, resulting in the shahadat of both pilots on board. The martyrs have been identified as Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah of the Pakistan Air Force and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi of the Pakistan Navy. A Board of Inquiry has been constituted by Air Headquarters to ascertain the cause of the accident. Islamabad, 8th June 2026(Ghufran): Leading medical and patient associations in Pakistan have written to the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and other policy makers, urging an increase in the federal excise duty on all sweetened beverages to minimum of 40 percent in the budget 2026-27.
