Prime Minister youth loan scheme distributed Rs 83.6 Billion to young entrepreneurs of Pakistan

The Commonwealth Secretariat, in collaboration with UNDP Pakistan and the Islamic Development Bank, announced the launch of the highly anticipated report titled "The State of Youth Entrepreneurship in Pakistan". This groundbreaking report provides important insights into the current entrepreneurial landscape in Pakistan and offers practical recommendations for developing a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs. The launch event at Islamabad also included a keynote speech by Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Head of Prime Minister's Youth Programme. Khan praised the report's efforts and highlighted the government's continued support for youth entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
President Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan in his speech outlined the innovative measures taken by the Prime Minister's Youth Program to promote entrepreneurship in Pakistan. He highlighted that since the Prime Minister's Youth Business Loan Program was launched by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shebaz Sharif on January 24, 2023, P83.6 billion has been distributed to young entrepreneurs, including 16,000 women entrepreneurs. This program provided loans for loans. 140,000 young people, including farmers, small businesses and non-profit organizations, help them turn their new ideas into successful businesses.
Additionally, President Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan highlighted the impact of the new National Innovation Award, which provides financial support, mentorship and the opportunity to help young entrepreneurs unlock their full potential and develop a culture of innovation and creativity in Pakistan.

Chairman Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan says that I am pleased to witness the launch of the  State of Youth Entrepreneurship in Pakistan report, which provides invaluable information on the challenges and opportunities faced by young entrepreneurs in our country. The Prime Ministry Youth Program remains committed to empowering future entrepreneurs, and we call on our development partners and the private sector to work with us to implement the recommendations in the
report.” The event brought together government officials, development partners, private sector representatives and promising young entrepreneurs to discuss strategies to improve Pakistan's ecosystem and promote a sustainable economy.
