Islamabad, 5 May 2026(Kamran Raja): The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan over the tragic loss of lives and widespread damage caused by severe floods and extreme weather disturbances in Türkiye. In a message addressed to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the brotherly people of Türkiye, the Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow over the devastation in the provinces of Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, and surrounding regions, which has resulted in the loss of precious lives and property. The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan stands in full solidarity with its Turkish brothers and sisters in this hour of grief. He extended sincere thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims and all those affected by the natural calamity.
Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support, the Prime Minister underscored that Pakistan remains ready to provide any humanitarian or material assistance required by Türkiye in its relief and recovery efforts. Pakistan and Türkiye share a longstanding bond of brotherhood, and the people of Pakistan stand united with the people of Türkiye during this difficult time.
