Prime Minister Meets U.S. Vice President as Islamabad Talks Commence

Islamabad, April 11, 2026(Kamran Raja): As the Islamabad Talks commenced today, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, held a meeting with the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance.

The U.S. Vice President was accompanied by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

The Prime Minister was assisted by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

Commending the commitment of both delegations to engage constructively, the Prime Minister expressed hope that the Islamabad Talks would serve as a stepping stone toward durable peace in the region.

The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to facilitating dialogue between all sides and looks forward to continued efforts toward achieving sustainable peace and stability in the region.
