
RAWALPINDI, October 7, 2026(Kamran Raja): A high-level delegation from the Republic of Belarus, headed by Lieutenant General Aleksandr Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, held a meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi. The meeting focused on the evolving regional and global security environment, matters of mutual interest, and avenues for further expanding bilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir underscored Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening and broadening defence and security ties with Belarus, emphasizing the importance of enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Lieutenant General Aleksandr Volfovich reaffirmed Belarus’s interest in further advancing defence and security cooperation with Pakistan and appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in contributing to regional peace and stability. Both sides expressed their resolve to continue strengthening bilateral engagement and exploring new opportunities for defence and security collaboration.
