ISLAMABAD, 12 October, 2026 (Ghufran): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has welcomed the Presidential Proclamation in the province, saying that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa want peace, stability, development and prosperity. In a statement issued by his office, the governor said the people of the province had decided that they would no longer support the Khawarij and would stand alongside security forces in the fight against terrorism until its complete elimination. Kundi said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wanted a peaceful and prosperous future instead of chaos and unrest. He added that the province also sought to strengthen brotherly relations and mutual cooperation with other provinces of the country. The governor said development and prosperity could be achieved through sharing experiences, coordinated efforts and cooperation among the provinces. Emphasising the peaceful nature of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said they had never supported terrorism or acts of violence. Kundi urged the public to refrain from violating the law, inciting violence or engaging in riots. He warned that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt peace and order or taking the law into their own hands.
