Islamabad, Pakistan: National Rahmatul Alamin wa Khatamul Nabieen Authority Hosts Seerat Festival, Advocating for Peace and Unity.
At the inaugural three-day Seerat Festival of Pakistan, Chairman Senator Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani emphasized the significance of promoting the teachings of Seeratul Nabi among Muslim scholars to foster peace and order in Muslim societies. He stressed the need for broader dialogue.
During the final session of the two-day international conference on “Leading with the Prophet’s Character for World Peace” at National Skills University, Chairman Senate noted that embracing the Prophet’s character is crucial for building a vibrant and aware society.
Khurshid Nadeem, Chairman of Rehmatul Ulamain Authority, highlighted the importance of connecting with Rasoolullah’s teachings to overcome sectarianism and promote unity. He emphasized that explaining the original teachings of Islam in their true spirit can establish peace globally. Nadeem also condemned the unbearable oppression in Palestine and called for a scientific account of Islamophobia and insulting incidents.
Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education Muhyiddin Ahmed Wani praised Rahmatul Alameen Authority’s valuable work on Character Education, anticipating its expansion from Islamabad to the entire country.
Other notable speakers included Bishop of Lahore Nadeem Kamran, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Samrai from Iraq, Fatihah Wa Bidar from Morocco, Taha Qureshi from Great Britain, Director General of Rahmatul Ulamain Authority Zafar Mahmood Malik, Dr. Yaz Mahmood, Vice Chancellor of National Skills University Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, and renowned journalist and anchor Sabookh Syed.
The conference underscored the importance of comprehensive dialogue in establishing peace, echoing the principles of peace education, which aims to promote understanding, tolerance, and friendship among nations and racial or religious groups By fostering a culture of peace, these efforts can help resolve conflicts nonviolently and transform the cultural and structural conditions that generate deadly or destructive conflict.
