CEO of renowned American multinational IT company Afiniti, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif

17 March 2025, Islamabad(Kamran Raja): A four-member delegation led by Jerome Kapelus, CEO of renowned American multinational IT company Afiniti, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. Prime Minister welcomes Afiniti’s interest in further investing in Pakistan’s IT sector.
PM says Pakistan’s talented IT workforce has the potential to compete in the global market. Prime Minister proposes Afiniti Pakistan to establish world-class call center in Pakistan for national and international customers.

Shehbaz Sharif said I am personally overseeing a program to equip the country’s talented youth with IT, AI and other advanced technological skills. All facilities are being provided to IT companies to achieve the target of $25 billion exports in the IT sector.

The delegation praised the capabilities of professionals from the Pakistani IT sector and their hard work for the development of the sector.

Jeremy Cappellis said Pakistan’s IT sector is highly suitable for investment and business. Currently, Afiniti Pakistan has over 1,000 highly talented and capable Pakistani experts working there. Pakistani youth have immense potential to work for the development of the IT sector.

Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja and senior government officials from relevant institutions were present in the meeting.
