 ISLAMABAD, 11 August, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Barrister Salman Safdar, lawyer for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, has submitted written arguments in court in a case concerning the alleged solitary confinement of Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. Barrister Salman Safdar described the report submitted by the Adiala Jail superintendent as contrary to the facts and misleading, and asked the court to appoint a judicial assistant, local commission or amicus curiae to independently assess the situation. ISLAMABAD, August 10, 2026 (Nosheen): Pakistan received $3.631 billion in remittances from overseas Pakistanis in July 2026, registering an increase of around 5 percent month-on-month and 13 percent year-on-year, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).Remittances stood at $3.475 billion in June 2026, while overseas Pakistanis sent $3.215 billion to Pakistan in July 2025, reflecting a significant increase over the corresponding month of the previous year.Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances in July, with Pakistani workers sending $914 million home.
