Israel Says Mission Against Iran Remains Incomplete, Warns of Continued Security Threat

Islamabad, 8 November, 2026 (Nosheen): Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has claimed that Iran is resuming efforts to acquire nuclear weapons, warning that Tehran continues to pose a serious threat to Israel’s national security. According to the international news agency AFP, Katz made the remarks while addressing a ceremony on Sunday, stating that Iran was not only seeking to revive its nuclear weapons programme but was also engaged in other activities that posed significant security risks to Israel. He said Israel’s mission concerning Iran remained incomplete and stressed the need for continued vigilance in addressing the threats facing the country. However, the Israeli defence minister did not provide any evidence to support his claim that Iran had resumed efforts to develop nuclear weapons. Iran has consistently rejected Israeli allegations that it seeks to develop nuclear weapons. Rising tensions between the two countries and the broader regional security situation continue to draw international attention.
