Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Jeddah on Official Visit to Saudi Arabia

Jeddah, August 6, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on Thursday on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin  Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.Upon his arrival at Jeddah, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Deputy Governor of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mashal bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al Fadhli, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, and senior diplomatic officials. During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to discuss ways to further strengthen the longstanding fraternal relations and multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.The two leaders will also exchange views on regional and international developments and matters of mutual interest.

As part of his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will perform Umrah and will also visit the Holy Shrine of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in Madinah. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Attaullah Tarar, along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, are accompanying the Prime Minister during the visit. The visit reflects the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and underscores the commitment of both countries to further enhance cooperation across various fields.
