The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has developed a course on Pakistan Studies, with an emphasis on integrating it into the educational component of Higher Education Policy V. 1.1.
In this regard, the HEC Course Design Committee held an important meeting at the HEC Regional Center in Karachi to develop a two-credit course titled “Pakistan Studies” for the university program.
Deputy Director of HEC, Mr.Muhammad Ali Baig begins the session by explaining the logic and parameters that guide the consultation process. He emphasized the need for a meticulously crafted course in Pakistan Studies that would provide students with a comprehensive exploration of Pakistan's identity, including geographical, historical and cultural aspects.
