Prime Minister Chairs Meeting on Measures Against Tax Evasion and Facilitation for Taxpayers

Islamabad, 9 September 2025(Kamran Raja): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting today to review measures for the recognition of taxpayers, strengthening of the tax system, and actions against tax evasion. The Prime Minister directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to expedite completion of the Income Tax and Sales Taxpayers Directory in order to duly acknowledge the contribution of responsible citizens who pay their taxes regularly. He emphasized that regular taxpayers are the backbone of the national economy.
