Rawalpindi, 29 July 2026(Kamran Raja): Security forces, in close coordination with law enforcement agencies, have successfully eliminated 32 terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted over the past 24 hours as part of Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign against the Indian-sponsored terrorist networks of Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan.
The operations were carried out under the framework of the national counterterrorism vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” aimed at eliminating terrorists and their facilitators across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. On the night of 28/29 July 2026, multiple intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations were conducted in District Khyber, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the operations, security forces effectively engaged terrorist hideouts, killing 24 terrorists belonging to Fitna al Khwarij.
In a separate series of intelligence-based operations in District Nushki, Balochistan, security forces engaged terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan. Following an intense exchange of fire, eight terrorists were neutralized. During the operations, security forces recovered and destroyed a cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) used by the terrorists. Sanitization operations are continuing in the affected areas to ensure the elimination of any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists and their facilitators.
Pakistan’s security forces, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, remain fully committed to the relentless implementation of the Azm-e-Istehkam counterterrorism campaign, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. The nationwide effort will continue with full resolve to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism and safeguard the country’s peace, security and stability.
