ISLAMABAD, 8 September, 2026 (Ghufran): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the Houthi attack targeting civilian and energy facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which left several people injured. In a statement posted on his X timeline, the prime minister described the attack as a cowardly and dastardly act, saying such attacks threaten innocent lives as well as regional peace and security. Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated that Pakistan stands in unwavering solidarity with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity and prayed for the swift recovery of all those injured in the attack.
