Pakistan Independence Day Celebrated in Queens

 


NEW YORK, 13 August 2026(Kamran Raja):
The American Pakistani Advocacy Group, in collaboration with the Queens Borough President, organized a special ceremony in Queens to celebrate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.

Consul General of Pakistan in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai attended the event as the Chief Guest, while a large number of Pakistani Americans from across New York participated in the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, the Consul General extended warm Independence Day greetings to the Pakistani American community and paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding leaders and the people who contributed to the creation of the country.

He highlighted the valuable contributions of Pakistani Americans to the social, economic and cultural development of the United States, while maintaining strong and enduring bonds with Pakistan.

The Consul General appreciated the community’s continued efforts to preserve Pakistan’s cultural heritage and values and to promote closer people-to-people ties between Pakistan and the United States.

The event reflected the Pakistani American community’s deep attachment to Pakistan and its continued commitment to strengthening Pakistan-US relations and promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.

The celebration concluded with expressions of solidarity with Pakistan and prayers for the country’s peace, prosperity, progress and stability.
