
Karachi, 2 October, 2026 (Ghufran): District South Police have arrested more than 10 Afghan nationals during an ongoing crackdown against foreign nationals allegedly residing illegally in Karachi. According to police, the operation is being conducted on the instructions of South SSP Mahzoor Ali to identify and take action against foreign nationals living in the district without valid legal documentation. Police officials said the detained Afghan nationals were found residing in the city without the required documents. Following their detention, authorities initiated the process of verifying their identities and examining their available travel and residency documents. Police said that after completion of the identification and document-verification process, the detained individuals were transferred to a transit camp. Officials added that operations against foreign nationals allegedly residing without valid documentation are continuing in various areas of District South as part of the ongoing enforcement drive.
