Islamabad, September 26, 2026(Kamran Raja): Saudi Arabia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Rajeh Tami Al-Baqami, arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to begin his diplomatic duties.
According to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad, the new ambassador was received by Khushal Saeed, Assistant Director of the Protocol Department at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with officials and members of the Saudi diplomatic mission.
Dr. Al-Baqami was appointed as Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Pakistan on July 29, 2026, replacing Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki.
Before his appointment to Pakistan, Dr. Al-Baqami was among eight newly appointed Saudi ambassadors who took the oath of office before Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
His arrival comes as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan continue to strengthen their longstanding relations, particularly in the areas of defence, investment, trade and regional cooperation.
