Mardan, 20 September, 2026 (Kamran Raja): On the directions of FIA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director Muhammad Ejaz Khan, the FIA Composite Circle Mardan conducted a major overnight operation at various locations and arrested several key suspects allegedly involved in defrauding MDCAT students and their parents. According to the FIA, the suspects allegedly lured students with promises of increasing their MDCAT examination marks in exchange for money and collected large sums from students and their families. Several central members of the alleged network were taken into custody during the overnight operation. The mobile phones of the arrested suspects have been sent for forensic analysis, while further evidence is being collected in light of the digital and technical data retrieved from the devices. Legal proceedings against the suspects have been initiated, while the scope of the investigation has been expanded to identify and arrest other members involved in the network and trace the entire operation.
