Caretaker Federal Minister of Interior and Commerce Dr. Gohar Ijaz has said that 40 years ago, the government of Saudi Arabia gave a gift of Shah Faisal Mosque to Pakistanis, now this mosque will be renovated to make it more beautiful. He was expressing his views on the occasion of visiting Shah Faisal Mosque along with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al Maliki today. Federal Interior Secretary Aftab Akbar Durrani, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and CDA officers were also present.
The Interior Minister along with the Saudi Ambassador offered Zuhr prayer, after which they visited the main hall and yard of Shah Faisal Mosque. Talking to the journalists, the caretaker Federal Minister of Interior Dr. Gohar Ejaz said that when I assumed the position of the Ministry of Interior, I performed the first Friday in Shah Faisal Mosque. When he met with the Saudi Ambassador, Minister Gauhar Ejaz told him that the Shah Faisal Mosque needs to be renovated so that the mosque can be made more beautiful. We’re thankful to the Saudi Ambassador who took particular interest and decided to patch the Shah Faisal Mosque, which will begin soon. He said that 40 years ago, the Saudi government gave a great gift to Pakistan in the form of Shah Faisal Mosque, after 40 years, Shah Faisal Mosque will be made more beautiful. He said that Shah Faisal Masjid is one of the most beautiful mosque in Pakistan. Nawaf Saeed Al Maliki, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, said that Shah Faisal Masjid was given as a gift to Pakistanis by the Saudi government. Now the addition work of this mosque will be started soon, the Ministry of Interior and other stakeholders have cooperated in the renovation of Shah Faisal Mosque, the addition work of the mosque will be completed soon.
