
Islamabad 2 January 2025(Kamran Raja): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will visit Beijing on 4 January at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister and Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, Wang Yi. During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister will co-chair the 7th round of the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue alongside his Chinese counterpart. The Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue is the highest-level consultative forum between Pakistan and China. It provides a structured platform for a comprehensive review of all aspects of bilateral cooperation, as well as an in-depth exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
On this occasion, the two Foreign Ministers will also announce a series of initiatives and commemorative activities to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China in 2026. The visit forms an important part of ongoing high-level exchanges between the two countries and reflects their shared commitment to further strengthening the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. It will also reaffirm the two sides’ mutual dedication to promoting regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
