An important meeting of the Election Commission was held today regarding the preparations for the general elections. The meeting was presided over by the Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Sikandar Sultan Raja. In addition to the honorable members of the Election Commission, the Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, the Chief Secretaries of the four provinces were present in the meeting. Sirs, representatives of other law enforcement agencies, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Secretary Election Commission and other senior officers attended. Addressing the participants of the meeting, the Chief Commissioner emphasized the importance of peaceful conduct of the general elections. He said that it is the responsibility of the administration and law enforcement agencies to take timely administrative measures for the peaceful, safe and successful conduct of the upcoming general elections. And ensure security arrangements so that political parties, candidates and voters are provided with a favorable environment regarding the elections in which they can exercise their right to vote without any fear. Chief Secretary, IG and Chief Commissioner Islamabad told the meeting that all their arrangements for conducting the elections are complete and all the forecast and preparation to deal with any kind of situation is complete. The meeting was informed. That there are threat alerts in some parts of the country but no effort will be spared to hold peaceful elections. The meeting was told that the repair work of the polling stations affected by floods is going on fast and it should be completed before the elections. Arrangements for installation of CCTV cameras at all the most sensitive polling stations are also complete.

Timely supply of funds to all concerned institutions is being ensured. Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa told the meeting that all the roads and paths will be kept open on election day in snow-affected districts and public access to polling stations will be ensured. will be made. Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja gave instructions that the security of the leaders of all political parties and the voters should be ensured, more election rallies and meetings should also be provided with adequate security and the code of conduct of the election should be strictly followed. Chief Secretary Balochistan said that peace committees are also being established at the polling station level to help maintain a peaceful environment at the polling stations. Go so that there is no delay in the election. The Chief Election Commissioner said that the work of printing the ballot papers is going on. Therefore, if changes are made in the election symbol on this occasion, it will be difficult to conduct the election in these constituencies. The secretary of the Ministry of Interior told the meeting that control rooms have been made at the federal level for the election. The Ministry of Interior is in touch with all the institutions and all measures are complete to support the Election Commission and conduct peaceful elections.

While thanking the participants of the meeting, the Chief Election Commissioner expressed his satisfaction with all the measures and arrangements for the conduct of the election. There is a responsibility and the Election Commission will fulfill its responsibility in this regard with full diligence. All the IGs were assured that wherever there is a reduction in the number of police, it should be fulfilled by other security agencies. Negligence of any organization or polling staff will not be tolerated in the peaceful conduct of elections. He further said that if any candidate or any other person violates the law and code of conduct, strict action will be taken against them as per the law. will be implemented.
