Caretaker Federal Minister of Railways Captain Retired Shahid Ashraf Tarar took charge of the Ministry of Railways after taking oath.

Officials of the Ministry of Railways welcomed the Federal Minister.

The Federal Minister visited the Ministry of Railways and met the officers.

Federal Secretary Railways Syed Mazhar Ali Shah gave an update on the administrative and operational functions of the railways.

The federal minister said that the safety of passengers is the first priority.

Train operation should be pleasant and safe for all.

In this regard, the Ministry and all the departments attached to it should take immediate steps to ensure the safety of the passengers.

All departments should immediately conduct safety audit and assessment and submit the report within 7 days.

The federal minister also said that ML-1 is an important and strategic project for Pakistan.

Improving the revenue stream of Railways is a top priority.
