A delegation headed by Mr. Sohail Mahmood, the head of the Institute of Strategic Studies of Pakistan, along with Mr. Obaidul Rehman Nizamani, the Pakistani ambassador living in Kabul, met with Moulavi Amir Khan Muttaghi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of IEA islamic Emirates of Afghanistan.

At the beginning, Mr. Mutaqi said that Afghanistan and Pakistan are two friendly and brotherly countries with a lot in common. Therefore, the relations between the two countries are based on good neighborliness and understanding.

He also said that some problems hurt the relations between the two countries, so instead of verbal conflict and media statements, the causes of these problems should be found. Mr. Mutaqi added that peace and stability in Afghanistan was our great goal. Among many achievements in the last two years, we have also made great progress in the business relations with Pakistan, and the geographical location of Afghanistan offers many opportunities for both countries. The head of the Pakistani delegation, recalling the achievements of the Islamic Emirate, said that with the implementation of the Islamic Emirate, preventing bloodshed, ensuring overall security in Afghanistan, banning and reducing drug production, eliminating administrative corruption, paying attention to economic affairs and other positive developments can be achieved. Referring to the security incidents and concerns related to the security situation in Pakistan, he said that we hope that the existing problems will be solved through understanding.
