British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott welcomes back Chevening and Commonwealth scholars.
Having completed their postgraduate studies in the UK, the 2022-2023 class of 47 Chevening Scholars and 46 Commonwealth Scholars have had the opportunity to renew and maintain relationships that will Stick with them for the rest of your life.
The 2022-23 cohort comes from across Pakistan, with all provinces represented.
All scholars benefit from fully-funded scholarships to study a range of subjects, including development, public health, climate change and business, at leading universities Top ones include Oxford University and the London School of Economics.
They will now join a group of distinguished alumni from a variety of fields.These include the first female judge of the Gilgit-Baltistan High Court, Amna Zamir Shah, prominent disability activist Abia Akram, and the first female lawyer of the Hazara minority, Jalila Haider.
British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott CMG OBE, said:

These students These returning audiences not only receive an education from the world’s best universities, they also expand their professional networks and experience life in the UK. They take it with them as a return to their respective careers and fields.”
Aurangzeb Kasi, a scholar from Balochistan, said:
