Erdogan Condemns International Silence Over Israeli Attacks on Palestinians

Istanbul, 7 November, 2026 (Nosheen): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned the international community’s failure to address Israeli actions in the occupied Palestinian territories, warning that attacks against Palestinians are becoming increasingly brazen under the world’s indifference. Addressing the opening ceremony of the TRT World Forum 2026 at the Istanbul Congress Center, Erdogan said that what he described as occupier terrorism was aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from their ancestral homeland. He criticized international institutions for standing by as humanitarian atrocities continued in Gaza, drawing comparisons with previous tragedies in Rwanda and Srebrenica. Erdogan said more than 3,000 attacks and violations against Palestinians had been recorded in the occupied West Bank during October alone. He also expressed concern over the failure to implement the October 2025 Gaza Peace Agreement, which Türkiye helped broker, accusing the international community of applying double standards when dealing with Israel. Emphasizing that international agreements and principles must be respected, Erdogan warned that the global system was facing a structural crisis as power rivalries intensified, international rules were disregarded and global governance mechanisms failed to address emerging challenges. He reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to promoting peace and supporting diplomatic solutions to conflicts in Palestine, Yemen, Sudan and Ukraine, saying Ankara would continue to defend justice and openly present proposals for resolving regional and international crises. Meanwhile, Israeli forces and settlers carried out further attacks across the occupied West Bank on Friday, targeting Palestinian olive harvesters, burning residential tents and farmland, and conducting raids in several areas, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. Israeli soldiers reportedly forced foreign activists and journalists to leave Abu Falah village, northeast of Ramallah, after they attempted to support Palestinian residents seeking access to their land for the olive harvest. In a separate incident near Jabal al-Risan, Israeli settlers and soldiers allegedly assaulted and detained 15 foreign activists who were assisting Palestinians in harvesting olives.
