Sabeena Farooq Denies Lip Filler Rumours, Says She Is Afraid of Needles

KARACHI, 13 October, 2026 (News Desk): Pakistani actress Sabeena Farooq has dismissed rumours that she has undergone lip filler treatment, revealing that her fear of needles and injections has kept her from considering the cosmetic procedure. Addressing the speculation through her Instagram Story, the actress said she had received numerous messages suggesting that she had opted for lip fillers. Farooq clarified that she had not undergone the treatment but emphasised that cosmetic enhancements were not something to be criticised. She explained that she might have considered the procedure if she were not afraid of needles and injections, adding that people should not question or judge the personal choices others make about their appearance. Her remarks have renewed discussion about beauty standards and the scrutiny celebrities face over their looks, as even minor changes in appearance often lead to speculation about cosmetic treatments. Farooq has become a familiar face in Pakistani television since beginning her acting career in 2016. She gained widespread recognition for portraying Haya in the popular drama Tere Bin, although the character’s controversial nature also exposed her to online criticism, harassment and threats. In 2023, she publicly urged viewers to distinguish between an actor and the character portrayed on screen. She further strengthened her reputation through her performances as Barbeena in Kabuli Pulao and Aliya in Mann Jogi. Her performance in Kabuli Pulao earned her the Lux Style Award 2025 for Best TV Actress (Critics’ Choice). In August 2026, she was also named among the honourees of the CLC Global 100 Women Leaders Award 2026 in recognition of women making contributions across various fields, including entertainment. Beyond acting, Farooq has frequently used social media to speak about online behaviour, public criticism and the pressures faced by celebrities. Her latest response to the lip filler rumours reflects her stance that decisions about personal appearance are individual choices and should be treated with respect rather than public judgement.
