Rawalpindi, 1 October, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry will hold an important press conference today at 5pm. The military’s media wing is expected to brief journalists on important national and security-related matters. Meanwhile, security forces have killed six terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Kachhi district of Balochistan. According to sources, the operation targeted militants belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan, with the terrorists reportedly targeted through quadcopters. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered, while a clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining militant presence in the area. Separately, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, destroying several militant hideouts and tunnels. A significant quantity of explosive material was also recovered, while several terrorists were reportedly killed. The recovered explosives were subsequently neutralised with the assistance of the Bomb Disposal Squad. Security forces reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism and establishing lasting peace across the country.
