
Rawalpindi, 14 September 2026 (Kamran Raja): Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali, Chief of the Indonesian Navy, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, on Monday. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation were discussed. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the existing military-to-military relations between Pakistan and Indonesia and reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in the areas of professional training, defence collaboration and joint exercises. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its longstanding and brotherly relations with Indonesia, particularly in the defence and security domains. Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their valuable contributions towards regional peace and stability.
