ISLAMABAD, 8 September, 2026 (Nosheen): The final meeting of the committee on recruitment reforms in the federal government was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, where the committee approved its report on proposed reforms in the federal recruitment system. According to the spokesperson, Ishaq Dar recommended the committee’s report to the Prime Minister for approval and directed that the Prime Minister’s suggestions be incorporated into the recommendations. The meeting agreed to make the federal recruitment system faster, transparent, merit-based and technology-enabled. The committee also recommended making the National Job Portal more effective and robust to facilitate a modern and efficient recruitment process. It was further agreed that modern technology would be increasingly utilised in the recruitment system to improve transparency, efficiency and merit in the selection of candidates for federal government positions.
