ISLAMABAD, 08 August, 2026 (Ghufran): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has approved civil awards for 78 individuals, including martyrs and Ghazis, in recognition of their sacrifices, bravery and extraordinary courage.A special meeting of the Gallantry Awards Committee was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during which civil awards for 78 individuals were approved in various categories.The committee acknowledged the services and sacrifices of martyrs who laid down their lives for the country, as well as individuals who demonstrated exceptional courage and bravery.

Speaking at the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said it was a national responsibility to honour and encourage those who had sacrificed their lives for the country and displayed extraordinary courage.He said the nation remained indebted to its martyrs and Ghazis for their unforgettable sacrifices, adding that their great sacrifices were a valuable asset for the country.Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Interior Secretary, Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency, Additional Cabinet Secretary and other relevant officials attended the meeting.Representatives from all four provinces also participated in the meeting through video link.
